Nebraska Data

Data on the Hospital Compare website helps to compare hospitals on outcome measures , Survey of Patients Hospital Experiences and Inpatient Process of Care Measures.

Outcome measures (commonly known as Mortality and Readmission measures) provide information for consumers choosing care, and assists hospitals in their quality improvement efforts.

Survey of Patients Hospital Experiences (commonly known as HCAHPS) dataset provides information on how well hospitals offered recommended care to their patients.

Inpatient Process of Care Measures provides information on quality of inpatient care for all patients. Currently, we have included data only for the measures related to Heart Attack, Heart Failure and Pneumonia. Data for other measures will be made available soon.

Hospital Compare and Nursing Home Compare only allow for three provider comparisons. The interactive graphs in this section provide options to compare more than three providers and compare providers over multiple years. Interactive graphs also provide options to create, combine and compare data across different measures and multiple years. This data has been customized to provide specific information about Nebraska providers. For further information on the particular measures, please see Methodology

** Some providers do not report or do not have denominators high enough to publish. In such instances, these providers would be hidden for that particular measure and/or years.

A tutorial document is available to help navigate the interactive graphs. Please review the tutorial before you proceed.
