Mediation Overview


Mediation is offered as an alternative means to resolve a Medicare beneficiary’s complaint about care. There is no fee to participate. Mediation is an option for beneficiaries to work through their complaint with the help of an impartial mediator who facilitates communication between the provider and the beneficiary.

The ability to share your concerns and how you feel can often times lead to opportunities for improved care and better understanding for all concerned. If you have a quality of care concern, please call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) and you will be routed to a CIMRO of Nebraska Beneficiary Protection Specialist to see if your concern can best be resolved through mediation.
