Nursing home associations, quality improvement organizations, government leaders and consumer advocates are working to urge nursing homes nationwide to volunteer for a national program, Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes, aimed at accelerating the rate of quality improvement in nursing homes across the country. 

Achieving high quality care has been a priority for the nursing home community and many of the program's founding organizations have existing quality initiatives. Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes builds on the work and goals of existing efforts, such as the Nursing Home Quality Initiative, Quality First, the Campaign for Quality Care and other important initiatives.

The Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes Campaign is moving to a new phase with the launch of new and revised Campaign goals. The Campaign Web site, www.nhqualitycampaign.org, has been updated to provide nursing home leaders resources to help advance your quality improvement activities.

The program relies on Local Area Networks for Excellence (LANE) to disseminate information and encourages participation at the local level. A list of Nebraska LANE Partners is included in the Documents section. LANE partners in Nebraska work together to support the program by lending leadership, organizational, technical and communications expertise.
