Surgical Wounds Overview

The publicly reported outcome measure, Improving the Status of Surgical Wounds, OASIS item M0488, identifies the status of the most problematic (observable) surgical wound. The degree of healing in the most problematic surgical wound is identified. The Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) offers OASIS guidance that is useful in determining the degree of healing of the surgical wound.
